This story now counts as one of my all-time favorite reads. I can't believe I was never asked to read it in a single Lit class. It's amazing!!! Thank you for bringing some of the quiet symbols upwards (I'm thinking the flowers, not the knife ;-) ) with your beautiful illustrations. :)
